Podere Pietreta is a large, old house from the eighteenth-century, entirely in stone, that was recently the subject of a careful and passionate restoration, maintaining the particular architectural qualities of the structure and using only original materials.

The estate is positioned on a hill, in a position of exceptional beauty within the natural and artistic park of Val d'Orcia, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.

The farmhouse, 500m above sea level, dominates the hills that slope towards the plane: from here you can admire a vast natural setting, from Monte Cetona to the cliffs of San Casciano, from the rock of Celle sul Rigo to the slopes of Monte Amiata.

A park of three hectares surrounds Podere Pietreta. Under the shade of large oaks, there is a panoramic swimming pool with a Roman staircase (6x12m).

There are 3 inviting apartments that are available for guests - of varying sizes - and a beautiful independent house - also in stone - newly restored; there is a warm and refined atmosphere, the residences are elegantly furnished with furniture from the era.

The apartments are all on the ground level and have a private entrance; for each of these, there is a private space with a large umbrella, table, chairs and barbecue. Each apartment is located on one of the three sides of the farmhouse, ensuring that guests have complete privacy.

There is also a wireless Internet connection.

We stayed at Podere Pietreta during a short stay in Val d'Orcia. The apartment is equipped with all the comforts and offers the possibility to enjoy a beautiful swimming pool. Hospitality and services are excellent, I highly recommend it, especially for those who want to come into contact with nature.

Podere Pietreta is a spectacular place nestled in the hills of Siena, welcoming, very clean, and equipped with every comfort. From there you can reach numerous destinations, both of cultural and naturalistic interest. The silence and peace that surround it were a huge plus for me. The only issue encountered concerns the long dirt access road to reach it, very difficult due to stones and roughness. The owner is helpful and caring, ready to follow up on any question or request. I hope to return when I can also enjoy the pool, gardens, barbecue, and all the services designed for the summer season.

Podere Pietreta is very beautiful, even better than the photos which do not fully do justice to the apartments, which are spacious, well-kept, and tastefully furnished. A special mention goes to the incredibly thorough cleaning, the functioning of the heating (a rare thing in agritourism) and some details that I have rarely found in other accommodations (the fireplace ready to use, set up for immediate and perfectly functioning ignition). We took advantage of the B&B Day, paying for one night, 152 euros for a 4-person apartment, not cheap but not excessively expensive either. The only downside is the breakfast, which is prepared and brought from outside, expensive (7 euros) especially because it is meager; I suggest removing it as an option due to the objective difficulty of providing a quality service if it is not prepared on-site. But it remains the only downside of a place that has clearly been designed and cared for with attention. It will be nice to return in summer perhaps and also be able to use the pool.

Beautiful place and very pleasant and discreet managers. To reach by car because there are no public transport that reach it. Attention the road is dirt and has many potholes... but then you arrive at Podere Pietreta and it's really worth it. The structure and the rooms are beautiful, the location and the view are stunning, relaxation guaranteed. A true recharge immersed in nature.

Podere Pietreta is easily reachable and is in a very convenient position to visit the beautiful surrounding villages. I have visited it several times in spring and summer, enjoying the beautiful pool and relaxing in the large garden with breathtaking views and sunsets. In autumn and winter, you can appreciate more the surrounding nature with the small villages that come alive with very interesting markets and initiatives. I highly recommend trying the delicious breakfast which is not only plentiful but also prepared with great care and variety of choices.

Beautiful romantic weekend in a wonderful natural setting. Ideal for unwinding after weeks of intense work. The owners welcomed us wonderfully and were attentive and available to meet all our requests. The cleanliness of the premises is very well-kept and the environment comfortable. We particularly appreciated the excellent breakfasts served directly in the room with homemade jams and pastries, different every day. Radicofani is a fantastic village, very characteristic, with great restaurants. Thermal baths a few minutes away. What can I say, we will definitely come back!

We had a great time at Podere Pietreta, in a very nice apartment, furnished with style and romantic. The cleanliness is excellent, the park and nature are beautiful. In summer when the pool is open it must be spectacular! But even in November, with the fireplace and chestnuts, the experience was beautiful. We felt very pampered.

Very peaceful place, at least during my stay (week of April 25), for those who want to completely 'disconnect'. Personally, I find it pleasant to drive several kilometers through the countryside to reach the various tourist destinations in the area; someone might find it a bit far, but it's a matter of taste.

Welcomed with great courtesy by Mrs. Pinuccia. Very kind, she explained everything to us. She brought us breakfast in the morning always smiling. In the midst of Val D'orcia, with a view that I wouldn't even know how to define. We had an apartment in the annex of Podere Pietreta where privacy reigns supreme. Outside the small apartment we had our own little personal garden where we could have breakfast outdoors. Definitely a place to return to.

Structure restored in an extremely accurate way in total respect of the surrounding environment. The rooms are very clean and detailed. Podere Pietreta is the ideal point of departure for short excursions (30/60 minutes) to some of the most appealing places in Tuscany: Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Radicofani, San Quirico d'Oricia, Chiusi, Cetona, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena...
In 20 minutes you are among the forests of Monte Amiata, Umbria is half an hour by car.

Val d'Orcia also represents a precious food and wine stop: it is located in the centre of the Chianti area and the Nobile di Montepulciano, it is the homeland of the pasture meat, forest mushrooms and, above all, exceptional cheeses, fruit of the competition between traditional local types and recent inclusions of Sardinian sheep farming.

During the entire year, there are many folklore events, the feasts of traditional products and artisan fares, cultural events, theatrical and musical performances.

For lovers of sport there is an embarrassment of riches: Trekking, horse riding, alpine skiing, swimming (including thermal baths), sporting fishing, car rallies....
