Located in the heart of Valtaro, ground porcini mushrooms, B&B Palazzo Filagni offers a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Converted from an old fortified house, of medieval origin, has recently been renovated, retaining period features. Stone roofs, wooden beams on the ceilings, old courtyard in the center with stone oven, a barn, the barn and the wine-cellars once. Come to the Palace Filagni you feel like stepping back in time.

The bed and breakfast has a 3 double roomsl, even for single use. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated with furniture recovered and restored.

Here you can relax; There are outdoor tables, a hammock, the rooftop pool and large green area, ideal for a pleasant stay.

Breakfast is served in a large room on the first floor, but there is the opportunity to enjoy your ' B ' even outdoors.

The B&B Filagni Palace boasts a convenient location, just minutes from the motorway A15 in a secluded and quiet; in less than an hour you get to the Ligurian Sea and the beautiful Cinuqe Terre.

Also for those who are passionate about itnerari and cammninate here in Valtaro find what you were looking for, we are close to Lagoni, the Passo della Cisa, and the many castles and medieval hamlets famous (Bardi Castle, Castle of Compiano, Torrechiara...).

For those who are fond of mushrooms should know that in September and October to BorgovaldiTaro, Albareto Bedonia and there is the festival of the porcini mushroom PDO and many other local products to taste.

Palazzo Filagni was perfect for what we needed during our trip and a great value for the money! Located conveniently a few minutes away from the A15 (aka E33) highway, it was easy to find by following GPS directions and signs. We used it as a base to visit nearby towns and villages of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, as well as the beautiful Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park. The Palazzo is in a charming old villa on the side of a hill, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings. Our room was clean and spacious, though a bit oddly set up, probably because of how old the building is. The standard breakfast offered is bread with jam, cereal, cake, and coffee/tea. However, my wife has Celiac disease, which ruled out most of these items for her. When we requested some gluten-free options for my wife, Illario was very generous to offer us ham, cheese, and eggs, and also went out and purchased gluten-free crackers and cakes. He was also very helpful in suggesting nearby places to visit. Even though he did not speak much English and we knew only a few words of Italian, we managed to communicate just fine. All in all, if we need a place to stay in the area, we'll be staying at the Palazzo again.

We recharged our batteries and spent some wonderful days at Palazzo Filagni. Very easy to reach and equipped with all the services we needed. The owners are fantastic and very attentive to the needs of the customers. Special mention for the excellent homemade cakes that were there for breakfast. We will definitely return one day!

Very beautiful location, easily reachable from the highway. Buildings renovated very well. All around hills and meadows. Silence and peace. We were greeted by some deer. Room and bathroom very spacious and well kept.

Large spaces very well maintained, peace and tranquility, the ideal place to slow down the pace and 'breathe'. The managers are very pleasant and helpful people. We had already been there, we will definitely return.

The place in the renovated village is a dream. The rooms are decorated with great taste and love. We very much appreciated the silence of the hills and the short distance from the city, and also the swimming pool, in these hot days. What we missed, we Swiss, was fresh bread in the morning but, apart from that, we were very good at Palazzo Filagni. A true earthly paradise where you can forget the worries of everyday life. Thanks to Ivana and Illario who were very attentive to the needs and well-being of the guests. We will be back.

Too bad we only stayed for one night. A dream place out of time, a blend of history and relaxation. The structure is splendid, the pool is excellent even though we couldn't use it due to the temperature. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. Highly recommended place for those who want a relaxing moment away from the usual destinations.

A very pleasant discovery a short distance from the city for those who want to escape the heat even for just a weekend. You regenerate in the beauty and peace of a magical place masterfully recovered by the host Ilario, assisted in management by the precious and very friendly Ivana, generous with advice and delicious cakes. My name is Caterina, I'm 27 years old and I gradueted at university of Parma. Actually I menage the family B&B. I like art, cinema, playnig in my theatre company, choosing house fornitures and I like cooking cakes. I love animals but in particular horses. I am a friendly and educated person, but also shy and descreet. I decided to start this new jobto know many people all around the world and let them a confortable stay. For me it is very important, when I travel, the cortesy of pepole who hosts, and I search to do the same thing with my guests. I am very tied to this ancient house, that is my father's hard work in years. He gave to this forsaken place a new life and it became now a paradise corner to visit.
