The Podere Montagione is located a top a hill (400 mts) in the heart of the quiet Chianti hills one of the most beautiful regions in the world. This old farmhouse has recently been carefully renovated and maintains the original character of the tuscan rural buildings: wooden beamed ceilings, hand-made terra-cotta brick floors, stone.

All rooms have private bathroom and air-conditioning. A swimming pool in the lovely garden area with olive and fruit trees, is available to the guests.

The "Strada del Vino" passes right in front of Podere Montagione. This beautiful road winds along fascinating medieval hamlets, ancient castles, monasteries, and Medici fortresses and typical country restaurants that can offer genuine traditional Tuscan food. Florence and Siena are only 30 minutes by car.

The place is nice and relaxing. It's just a bit remote, but it's very calm, there is air conditioning in the rooms, and the owner is friendly and speaks some English. If possible, ask to book the rooms on the ground floor that have a terrace, whereas for the rooms on the upper floor, you can't open the windows because of the mosquito nets. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, the area is very nice. Pay attention to the duration of the trips, which are very long when not using the highways.

Wonderful structure, clean, perfect for relaxing and visiting nearby cities. Beautiful and clean swimming pool. I highly recommend.

The owner is very kind and extremely helpful in meeting the needs of customers. Located in an ideal position, away from the confusion but close to the local villages, we had a great time, a true oasis of tranquility surrounded by scenic beauties!

The Podere Montagione is very beautiful and ancient, and the rooms all have air conditioning. The bathroom is a bit small, with a sink like a ship's cabin and without a bidet, but there is a shower for the toilet. The shower is ok. A beautiful large pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. Mrs. Sonia is an excellent host, hospitable and friendly, making you feel at home. Very caring and helpful. The location is favorable for getting around to the most famous medieval places.

Buonasera signora Mirella, condivido tutto, bagni piccoli purtroppo, lo spazio era quello e ho deciso meglio piccolo che niente, tornassi indietro, sacrificherei una camera. La mia è ospitalità familiare, un b&b semplice e qualche carenza e inevitabile, ma sono contenta di sapere che è stata bene. Podere Montagione is a little gem, located on the hills of Florence in a strategic position to easily reach both Florence and Siena or Volterra and surroundings. There are exceptional places nearby with excellent Tuscan cuisine for lunch or dinner. The simple and well-kept structure is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stop in these magnificent lands. The swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests is a perfect element to cool off and regenerate after a day spent perhaps visiting villages and churches. Sonia and her family are exceptional hosts, always available and attentive to every detail. We are a family with 4 children, aged 7 to 18, we stayed for 4 days and we really felt at home. Heartfelt thanks to Sonia and Carlotta.
